We want to ensure that we are transparent with all of our Tenants, in what the next steps will be over the coming months and years.It’s important to us that you are informed and treated fairly. As such, this will be the first of a series of dedicated Tenant sessions, throughout the year.Druids Heath Regeneration Project Team – The project team will also be on hand for discussion to understand more about your housing need. The team will be completing surveys with Tenants on the day, to ensure we have a good understanding of your needs as part of regeneration.What you need to know-The Druids Heath regeneration aims to deliver 51% affordable housing. At this stage 400 of these homes will be BCC tenancies, meaning many of the new affordable homes being managed by a Registered Provider (also known as a housing Association).We don’t yet know which of our tenants will be impacted by this change so it’s important all of our tenantsThe online webinar aims to help you understand the differences and similarities between council and housing association landlords and cover the key areas you’ve told us you’re concerned about such as:What we will discuss- <ul><li>Overview of landlord options – council and housing association</li><li>What is social housing and what is affordable housing?</li><li>What is a housing association and how is it different to having the council as a landlord?</li><li>Difference in tenancy conditions / rent</li><li>What difference will it make to your property – will repairs / investment be any different?</li><li>What is the difference in housing management, customer services and complaints between a council and housing association landlord?</li><li>Right to Buy for council and housing association tenants.</li><li>Who and how are housing associations and council landlord services regulated?</li></ul>This workshop will be delivered by an independent consultant.Why do I need to book a ticket ?To attend you will need to book a free ticket, this is so we can make sure we have the correct contact details, and staff in attendance , ensuring each event is well managed.
