Free creative workshop for young people in Stockport.

Join the Merseyway Workshop's School of Making for an afternoon of sustainable printmaking!Learn how to create handmade art prints with an introduction to this experimental intaglio printmaking process using Tetrapak.Tetrapak provides us with a soft, water-resistant surface into which marks can be drawn or cut with specialist tools. Over the course of the afternoon, you will be taught how to transfer your own design into the Tetrapak to create your intaglio printing plate. You will then be shown how to ink up your plate before printing it onto paper, bringing your design to life!This technique will allow you to try your hand at printmaking using a sustainable material and embrace the experimental nature of print. At the end of the session, you’ll be able to take home your own original prints.All materials provided. Recommended for young people 14+.If you are no longer able to attend, please do release your spot so that somebody else can snatch it up!

Knowledge Required• No prior knowledge required.Materials Provided• EverythingTransport• We are within a short walk from Stockport train and bus station. Parking is available at the Merseyway Shopping Centre NCP.Refunds and Booking Terms• Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date.
