Join us for our third national gathering - with phenomenal speakers, workshops and most importantly a joyful space of solidarity.

This event is our biggest yet with keynote speakers, workshops and spaces for solidarity.We have a jam-packed schedule for you which includes workshops on Challenging misrepresentation, TV and Radio interview skills, and writing newspaper columns so you can get you expertise out and influencing in Scotland and beyond!Speakers confirmed are:Dr. Joanna AbeyieAuthor, Equality and inclusion consultant, and former head of creative diversity at the BBCYassmin Abdel-MagiedSudanese diaspora writer, broadcaster, and award-winning social advocate, a globally sought-after speaker and advisor on social justice issues and inclusive leadership.Zara JanjuaAward-winning TV, radio &amp; podcast presenter, writer and producer. Finalist of "Women of the Future" award.Talat YaqoobFounder of Pass the Mic, award-winning campaigner and writer, and consultant and adviser across equalities and social justice policy.Assa Samaké-RomanScottish and French journalist, columnists in the National newspaper, and media commentatorUzma MirRadio and television director, producer and executive producer and former columist providing skills on article writingHannah BardellFormer MP, consultant, and media commentator providing a news interview skills workshopand more speakers to be announced!The event will include roundtable discussions and interactive opportunities for your to share your expertise and your vision for the work of Pass the Mic.This event is by women of colour and for women of colour. All of the work for Pass the Mic is delivered by volunteers and we have a very limited budget. If you book a ticket, please make sure you can come. If later you realise you cannot, please cancel to allow someone else to join.Getting here:There is limited free parking nearby.Subway: 3 min walk from Cowcaddens subway station, 7 Minute walk from St George's Cross subway station.Train: Queen street station is a 20 minute walk or 9 minute taxi journeyAccessibility:The venue is fully accessible and additional support can be provided if needed (e.g. BSL)Refreshments:Drinks throughout the day and a vegetarian hot lunch will be provided.
