We are delighted to invite you to attend the IROHMS Autonomous Systems and Robotics Lab Virtual Tour, hosted by the School of Engineering.

Led by Lab Manager, Dr Ze Ji, attendees will be taken on a virtual tour of the improved IROHMS Autonomous Systems and Robotics Lab, located in the School of Engineering. Demonstrations of the new equipment and facilities will showcase cutting-edge technologies including:

KUKA LBR iiwa robots
KUKA mobile robots
Turtlebots
Drones
Optical and 3D cameras

The Autonomous Systems and Robotics Lab Tour comprises three parts: introduction to lab equipment, demonstrations, and our related research activities in robotics. Dr Ze Ji will first introduce attendees to the lab’s equipment: Kuka iiwa robots, Kuka Youbots, USV, Turtlebots and other robotics equipment. PhD students Xintong Yang and Feiqiang Lin will join the second part of the tour to give live demonstrations of our cutting-edge equipment, followed by additional video demonstrations. The final part of the Lab Tour will highlight our research activities in robotics, with projects from Xintong Yang, Peter Herbert, Feiqiang Lin, Fraser McGhan, Dr Ze Ji, and Dr Abolfazl Zaraki.

The new and improved research infrastructure facilities are due to European Regional Development Fund intervention.

IROHMS Future Leaders Academy will explore research challenges in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, and human-machine systems, highlighting the transformational research, strong industrial and public sector engagement, and delivery of sustainable, impactful solutions that we are recognised for. Over a period of six weeks, commencing 19th January 2021, guests will be invited to virtually join four discussion forums, workshops, networking events, and virtual tours of our new and improved laboratories: IROHMS Simulation Laboratory, Autonomous Systems and Robotics Laboratory, and Human-Robot Interaction Laboratory.

Mae'r Daith Lab Systemau Ymreolaethol a Roboteg yn cynnwys tair rhan: cyflwyniad i offer labordy, arddangosiadau, a'n gweithgareddau ymchwil cysylltiedig mewn roboteg. Yn gyntaf, bydd Dr Ze Ji yn cyflwyno mynychwyr i offer y labordy: robotiaid Kuka iiwa, Kuka Youbots, USV, Turtlebots ac offer roboteg arall. Bydd myfyrwyr PhD Xintong Yang a Feiqiang Lin yn ymuno ag ail ran y daith i roi arddangosiadau byw o'n hoffer blaengar, ac yna arddangosiadau fideo ychwanegol. Bydd rhan olaf y Daith Lab yn tynnu sylw at ein gweithgareddau ymchwil mewn roboteg, gyda phrosiectau gan Xintong Yang, Peter Herbert, Feiqiang Lin, Fraser McGhan, Dr Ze Ji, a Dr Abolfazl Zaraki.

Mae'r cyfleusterau seilwaith ymchwil newydd a gwell yn ganlyniad i ymyrraeth Cronfa Datblygu Rhanbarthol Ewrop.

Bydd Academi Arweinwyr y Dyfodol IROHMS yn archwilio heriau ymchwil ym meysydd deallusrwydd artiffisial, roboteg, a systemau peiriannau dynol, gan dynnu sylw at yr ymchwil drawsnewidiol, ymgysylltiad cryf yn y diwydiant a'r sector cyhoeddus, a darparu atebion cynaliadwy, effeithiol yr ydym yn cael ein cydnabod amdanynt. Dros gyfnod o chwe wythnos, yn dechrau 19 Ionawr 2021, bydd gwesteion yn cael eu gwahodd i ymuno'n rhithwir â phedwar fforwm trafod, weithdai, digwyddiadau rhwydweithio, a teithiau rhithwir ein labordai newydd a gwell: Labordy Efelychu IROHMS, Labordy Systemau Ymreolaethol a Roboteg, a Labordy Rhyngweithio Dynol-Robot.
