Welcome to my 'Organisers' page - I expect you would like to know more about me before booking a place.I started my career as a solicitor, and managed a conveyancing department for 8 years before becoming a Law Society Examiner and marker for Property papers 1 and 2. I am also a qualified teacher with national and international teaching experience, including teaching in the Royal Saudi Households.I have 30 years experience in property portfolio management and have acquired expertise in aspects of financial and account management, property acquisition, re-mortgaging and fund raising for projects.I have wide experience of the tax system including a secure understanding of the tax changes in the buy-to-let market driven by S24 of the Finance Act 2016 - including an exploration of its possible solutions.The 'CGT' and 'Specialist Landlord Tax' Courses aim to empower landlords with the tax knowledge which is essential in today's climate. My courses are unique due to my teaching approach with includes clear worked examples.I endeavour to provide a unique blend of making seemingly complex concepts understandable, whilst being able to convey the content and detail of what is necessary to know. My aim is to equip landlords with the tools to "unpick" their own individual portfolios and tax position, with a view to finding tax efficent solutions - bearing in mind wealth management at all times.I became a Local Representative for the NLA in 2007 and then an NLA trainer in 2011.I frequently chair landlord forums and speak at public events.More recently I have been working with an expert and government adviser on 'Anti-social Behaviour' (ASB) and now have the exclusive licence to deliver their course with my associate Don Robbie. This course will follow shortly.It comes with a 'landlords tool kit' and is essential in these changing times as S21, the no fault route to possession, is to be denied to landlords. Gathering evidence for an ASB fault based route to possession will be a challenge for many landlords. <h1>UNDERSTANDING ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES AND PLANNING TO MEET FUTURE MEES REQUIREMENTS COURSE FOR PRIVATE LANDLORDS &amp; LETTING AGENTS</h1><p><br></p><h1>The Government has recently commenced a series of consultations about both a totally new basis for EPC rating of Residential Properties together with a proposed revised set of minimum standards of insulation and energy efficiency for private rented properties. </h1><p><br></p><h1>Possibly going live from Q4 of 2026, now is a crucial time for landlords and letting agents to start planning how they can comply with these new regulations for the minimum capital expenditure.</h1><p><br></p><h1>In recognition of these considerable challenges, Sue Bryer Landlord Training present a virtual (webinar based) fully interactive 1 day training event on Friday 16th May 2025</h1><h1><br></h1><h1>At the end of the course, support materials will be supplied to assist with EPC Management, complience with upcoming revised MEES Legislation, planning cost effective retrofit Energy Efficiency improvements and claiming all appropriate Energy Grant Funding available.</h1><h1><br></h1><h1>Taught through conceptual learning with user friendly examples. This course has been developed in conjunction with the highly respected Domestic Energy Assessor and Consultant Peter Herbertson</h1>

<h2>Course Objectives:</h2><h3>Delegates will be able to:</h3><h3>1. Fully understand how EPC's are produced and what information is contained therein. Know in detail the implications of the latest Rd SAP assessment software being launched early summer 2025.</h3><h3>2. Identify how to prepare for an EPC assessment of a property to obtain best results.</h3><h3>3. Understand what should take place during an EPC assessment of a property.</h3><h3>4. Fully Interpret the EPC report and understand the options open to improve property rating and which improvements will most improve scores.</h3><h3>5. Understand possible grant funding options including ECO4, the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) and the various organisations who can provide advice and support.</h3><h3>6. Look to the future and plan how to achieve likely MEES minimum EPC standards for private rented properties planned to be implemented late 2026 using, if appropriate new low carbon technology.</h3><h3><br></h3>

<h2>Getting the most from this virtual course</h2><h3>This one day course  commences at 9.30am. We ask all delegates to be logged on line  by 9.15am. </h3><h3>Joining instructions and the link to the course will be sent once you book. Please  ensure you have  clicked the link and checked internet connection prior to the day of the course.</h3><h3>All our courses are currently being run online as Virtual Training Events. On booking a place, you will be sent a weblink to join our course using the highly effective Zoom Webinar Platform, the number one solution for education &amp; training.</h3><h3>There is no need for you to download the Zoom app – just click on the link provided to register. You will then be emailed a weblink to join the course. On joining, your screen will show both a video of your trainer and the PowerPoint slides used during training.</h3><h3> You will need to be able to listen live to the trainers on your computer, laptop or tablet.</h3><h3> During the course, if you want to ask a question live, a microphone will need to be enabled on your chosen hardware.</h3><h3>Alternatively, you will be able to ask a question by either raising your hand electronically (we will show you how) or alternativey typing details into the Q and A box when a second trainer will supply an answer or ask the live trainer to deal with query as if on a face to face course.</h3>
