Introduction to Bird Song

TCV Scotland organises a diverse range of training courses and learning opportunities covering practical conservation skills, habitat management, group leadership and organisation, nature-based arts and crafts, wildlife identification and citizen science. Many people enjoy listening to birds in the garden and at this time of year the air starts to come alive with their songs. If you have ever wondered who’s who, or want to brush on your song identification skills, this webinar is here to help!Naturalist Dan Puplett will take you through the ways you can learn to listen more closely to birdsong and tell one species from another. We will cover some of the more commonly heard birds using a range of tips to pick them out and commit them to memory.Instructor: Dan Puplett is a naturalist, conservationist and environmental educator. He has worked in conservation and environmental education for many years, including over a decade with award-winning conservation charity, Trees for Life. He is the author of the FSC Guide to British Bird Tracks and Signs and founder of Dan Puplett Nature Awareness.This event will be hosted on Zoom.
