What will be covered in the session: <ul><li>Good practice in Volunteer Management inclduing a developing Volunteer Handbook</li><li>Induction and on-boarding</li><li>Recruitment &amp; Retention</li><li>Support &amp; Supervision</li><li>Safeguarding</li><li>Volunteering &amp; the Law</li><li>Rewarding Volunteers</li></ul> After the training, participants should be able to: <ul><li>Identify best practices in volunteer recruitment and retention and management</li><li>Understand the importance of volunteer support and motivation</li><li>Demonstrate effective communication skills with volunteers</li></ul> About the trainer:Hiba is Volunteering Kingston’s Volunteer Development Coordinator. She has worked in the charity sector for over 20 years, with extensive experience in accomplishing positive results achieved through strategy development and implementation, focusing on new development opportunities, forward planning, end-to-end project management, and service delivery.Volunteering Kingston runs the brokerage service, supporting volunteers to find roles and VIOs to attract and find new volunteers. Including providing advice and support to both volunteers and organisations. This is an online session: A Teams meeting invitation will be sent to you prior to the event.
