Established in London during 2002 Different Planet is a cosmopolitan network for people who like to enjoy art - culture and wellness activities.Through the activities we organise or attend, e.g. socials, gallery tours, live music gigs, literary events, board games, dance/ fitness sessions etc Different Planet (dp) has brought together nationals from most continents spanning over forty countries.  We are secular by nature.After a lengthy hiatus events were resumed in September 2019The network generally attracts professionals, artists, students and the genuinely open-minded.(dp) places a great emphasis on providing a relaxed and informal atmosphere for people to engage and interact.  It is free to join and most events take place in London.  Applicants must be 18+.

Born from the vibrant musical traditions of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the band, 'Kasai Masai' has become a powerhouse in the world of Soukous and Rumba, blending infectious guitar melodies, pulsating rhythms, and an electrifying stage presence. Led by the charismatic Nickens Nkoso, a multi-talented musician, singer, songwriter, composer, percussionist and dancer, the band brings the raw energy of Congolese folklore to the global stage. The band is known for their high spirited performances and unmistakable grooves that have earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting live acts in the contemporary Soukous and Rumba world. They always leave the audience craving for one last explosion! Get ready for an unforgettable night.****The band is joined by guest DJ, Jamie Renton. He is known for his unique dance-floor filling mixes. From Glastonbury, The Jazz Cafe, The 100 Club to many other events and clubs locally and around the world, his DJ sets have been the heartbeat of the party. He will be mixing up a storm of Afro Rumba hits and classic Afro grooves on the night to keep the session vibing.
