darts creates art with people in Doncaster to improve life, learning and health. We make high-quality, inclusive, creative experiences across the borough of Doncaster. Our programmes are open to everyone, particularly those who have the least access to the arts. Our purpose is for anyone in Doncaster to learn and connect by taking part in the arts.Our mission is for everyone to feel an accepted and valued part of the community, creating a healthier and more connected society.Our values are:Create: Making art allows us to see ourselves and the world differentlyConnect: Coming together to make art builds a sense of communityRespond: We listen, adapt and actInclude: Everyone has a place and a voiceEvolve: Learning informs practice, improving the experience for allThe Point is our home – it is a purpose-built arts centre in the middle of Doncaster to make and share art.We have a light-filled gallery, Creative workshop spaces, Café and gardens. You are invited to a 'behind the scenes' tour of The Point - our Grade II Listed Building on South Parade, Doncaster. We are in the midst of a capital decarbonisation programme that is part of our ambition to be net zero by 2030 and have been unearthing fascinating information about our building's history. The Point - a Centre of Excellence for Creative Health and Learning - is a public building that is made up of three townhouses - numbers 16, 16a and 17 South Parade. Find out more about architect, William Lindley, previous owners and uses, and the lives of the people who lived here. Join us for a unique informal 'behind the scenes' tour during Heritage Open Week.
