Norfolk Record Office (NRO) collects and preserves unique archives relating to the history of Norfolk and makes them accessible to people all over the world.The events listed here are run from our base at The Archive Centre, Martineau Lane, Norwich.   Free parking is available at County Hall for Archive Centre users. Our small bites are an introduction to a particular collection or topic. A 30 min session with a talk and time for questions.

Join us to find our more about the different records created by the workhouse system in England and Wales. From Parish Workhouses to the Union Workhouses we are familiar with from cultural references in Victorian works of fiction.
