For the 3rd year running, Park Royal Design District is taking part in London Craft Week from 17-18 May 2025, with a 2-day festival of Making and Craft in all its forms.

Learn the art of hand embroidery and create your own beautiful designs on the classic vintage toile fabric. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced stitcher, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to unleash their creativity. All materials will be provided and are included for you to take home with you and continue on with your new acquired skill. I will teach a range of stitches, from functional and beginner to more decorative and complex, something for everyone! Don't miss out on this opportunity to relax, socialize, and craft something special! About Coco WAI am a multi-media artist, born and raised in London, who combines fine art with craft allowing pieces of art to be used on the daily, hammering home the idea that art is for the people, to be seen and worn, not stuck inside a sterile gallery space or in an institutions storage somewhere. In this way I make luxury items at an affordable price and use all sustainably sourced materials for the products, be that organic cotton or upcycling vintage fabrics. My textile business values community at its core, with craft and humour being used as a tool to aid healing from the late-capitalist patriarchal society that we live in. Each piece is handmade in London with slow production and anti-fast fashion as a necessary part of creation.I use embroidery in my practise as a means to communicate personal thoughts and bigger social issues. I began embroidery during lockdown as a mode to calm and heal from stressors and haven’t been able to put down the needle since.
