For the 3rd year running, Park Royal Design District is taking part in London Craft Week from 17-18 May 2025, with a 2-day festival of Making and Craft in all its forms.

This workshop, led by session hairstylist and educator Jaz Hope Lanyero, will explore braiding and weaving techniques as a form of craft, similar to textile work, basket weaving, or macramé.Hair braiding is a centuries-old handmade art form, practiced globally. In this workshop, participants can experiment with patterns and textures, treating hair as a sculptural medium. Like pottery or weaving, braiding is hands-on and engaging, and carries rich traditions that blend function with artistic expression.
