Where does the mini marathon start and finish?

The mini-marathon starts  and finishes at Tonbridge Old Fire Station.

Question 2

Where does the route take me and how will I know where to go?

The route takes you on a 5 mile journey to and from central Tonbridge

You will be provided with step-by-step directions at the time of checking in for your marathon. The directions will include what 3 words locations at key points.

Question 3

Is the route accessible?

Accepted Answer

We have a shorter 3.6 mile walk which is suitable for off road wheelchairs and buggy's. This route is on a combination of paved and unpaved paths.  There are no stiles or gates on this option, but paths can be a bit bumpy when dry and very muddy if we had wet weather.

Question 4

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

We recommend that you wear light, comfortable clothing and good quality walking shoes or trainers. Your clothes should cover your legs as some paths may have brambles and stinging nettles. A waterproof jacket is essential!

Question 5

How long will it take me to complete my  mini -marathon?

Accepted Answer

This will depend on you or your groups pace. We would anticipate between 2-3 hours.  Remember this is a walk and not a race!

Question 6

What assistance do you offer en-route?

Accepted Answer

We will have two checkpoints along the 5 mile route  and one checkpoint on the 3.6 mile route where one of our friendly volunteers will monitor your progress.

Question 7

Can I raise money for another charity?

Accepted Answer

Your entry fee will be donated to Sustain food and fuel bank, but you are welcome to raise additional sponsorship for your chosen charity.

Question 8

What happens at the end of my mini marathon?

Accepted Answer

Upon completing your mini-marathon one of our team of volunteers will award you with a  medal - celebrating your achievement! You can then stay and enjoy a well deserved drink, cuppa or slice of cake at Tonbridge Old Fire Station (at your own expense)

Question 9

Will my friends and family be able to support me en-route?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Your friends can meet you at our pop up Orchard Tea Room, near Hildenborough. We will have a team serving hot and cold drinks, as well as delicious cakes in exchange for a donation to Sustain food bank.
