<p>To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Register of Historic Battlefields in England the Battlefields Trust and its partner organisations are arranging a series of battlefield walks in September 2025.</p><p>Come and join the Battlefields Trust to explore the English Civil War battle which took place at Winwick in August 1648. This is part of a a heritage open day at St Oswald’s Church, Winwick at which reenactors will be demonstrating period weapons, clothing, and drill. The church also contains a display of battlefield finds. Walk tickets are free, but limited to 30 people.</p>
