Managing Fire Safety

  • Although the system outlines this is a free event, there is a cost to attend this course and you will be billed as normal
  • You will be charged in full if you cancel with less than 14 days notice or do not arrive to the training on the day.
  • Once you have booked, an email will be sent ; this confirms your booking and no further action is required by you.

At the end of the Managing Fire Safety course attendants will:

  • understand the dangers of fire
  • understand current fire safety legislation
  • understand fire hazards in buildings
  • be able to carry out a Fire Safety risk assessment

Content covered:

  • management responsibility for fire prevention
  • regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005
  • fire safety training for employees
  • fire safety risk assessment (please bring along your current professional fire risk assessment)
  • formulating fire policies
  • damage control planning

Suitable for – this course is a requirement for Headteachers, Managers or Health and Safety Co-ordinators who are either the ‘Responsible Person’ under fire legislation or have been given the responsibility for fire safety for their premises.

Refresher training required - yes, every three years
