Military Families: Understanding University is an event delivered in partnership with Make Happen and the University of East London.

*THIS EVENT HAS NOW UNFORTUNTATELY BEEN POSTPONED. WE HOPE TO RESCHEDULE AT A LATER DATE*This free online event will be aimed at parents and students in Years 10-13 from military families. The event is specially tailored to service children and their families and will take place on Thursday 11th February 2021 from 6:00pm-7:00pm. We will explore aspects of attending university, from entry requirements to finance. This event is being delivered in partnership by the University of East London and Make Happen.On the evening, we will be discussing:•	Life at university: the UEL campus, support and well-being•	Fees and financial support available to students•	Pre-Entry courses for mature learners: New Beginnings, Get in to Law/Nursing (Aimed at parents)•	How to achieve educational successPlus, there will be a live Q&amp;A, where you can have your questions answered by current/former students.The webinar will be held on Microsoft Teams. Attendees will be able to join the event at the allotted time. Please use a laptop or PC to get the best possible attendee experience.Registrants:You will receive a link the week beginning 8th Feb 2021 for this event.
