It's for single people living in Northampton and the surrounding areas.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely - the more the merrier. They just need to book and pay for their own ticket. Or, you can book and pay on their behalf (what a great gift!)

Question 3

I'm married and have loads of single friends - I've got FOMO - can I come?

Accepted Answer

This is a space for single people, but we know that lots of people might feel more comfortable with a trusted friend coming along. So, if you're married and are supporting a single friend, then you'd be more than welcome to come.

Question 4

Do I have to arrive at 7.30?

Accepted Answer

No, everyone has other stuff to do, so you can drop in as and when you can. Obviously the longer you're at the event, the more lovely people you'll meet. But it's not school; you're welcome to come and go as you please.

Who are your Solo Connects Northampton hosts?

Accepted Answer

Solo Connects Northampton is run by two fabulous women who are based in MK. Samantha Poole is the founder of Ask Go To and runs the highly successful Mum 2 Mum Facebook Group, with over 25,000 members across Milton Keynes. Rachel Allen is a marketing consultant and a 'Tinder Veteran' !!

Question 6

I'm nervous...

You'll be welcomed by Sam and Rachel - lots of people say they are nervous, but find that it's very welcoming and relaxed once they arrive! We will run a few ice-breakers and social games, but there's no pressure to join in. There will be lots of time to chat and connect, it will be pretty relaxed.

I'm not hetrosexual - are these events for me?

Yes, we are simply creating a space for single people to get together to connect. You may make brilliant friendships. You may find the love of your life. The more people we bring into this space, the greater chance you've got of meeting your person. Please email if you have any questions about this.

Is this for friendship or dating?

Accepted Answer

We are here for both. We say it's 'friendship first, dating second' so the idea is to get to know people through our events and mixers and go from there. At our events, we have badges - smily faces for friendship, love hearts for romance and rainbows if you are LGBTQ.
