ASCape offer Autism friendly after school activities, youth clubs, monthly family activity days and wellbeing events for parents and carers.We have 4 broad age categories: 0 - 7 'Mini ASCape, 8 - 11, 12 - 17 'Teens and nearly Teens' and 18 - 25 '18+'. We also have a Parents and Carers' support group.

Please dress appropriately for the weather with wellies, waterproofs and plenty of layers!An afternoon of fun nature-based activities for all the family in a beautiful field near Askerswell, hosted by Thriving Wild Forest School. The activities will be run by Clare, Siobhan and Raja from Thriving Wild – you can find our photos here: <a href="https://www.thrivingwild.org.uk/about-us/who-we-are" title="https://www.thrivingwild.org.uk/about-us/who-we-are" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Thriving Wild CIC - Who we are</a>… We will start by gathering at our fire circle to welcome you. 21st June is the summer solstice – a time for celebrating the sun and the life it brings! After that we will split into two groups to enjoy some of the activities, swapping around halfway through the afternoon with a break for campfire snacks in between. We will then gather for a final time to salute the sun, and to say goodbye.Fun things that you can have a go at with us:• Make a butterfly to celebrate their beauty and their role as pollinators too. Can you replicate the patterns of your favourite butterfly? If the sun is out, you can also roam in the field grasses with a butterfly net! There will also be a scavenger hunt that you could have a go at, that leads you to plants and trees that butterflies and bees love. • Make a dinky felted soap to take home using bright sunny colours. Not only are they fun to make but they are also lovely to use in the bath or shower and make a lovely gift. • Make a simple summer solstice spear that we will use to celebrate the sun at our final gathering around the circle, before saying goodbye and heading off home.Whilst plans may change according to the weather, this will be a fun afternoon of nature-based activities for all the family rain or shine:).
