Dechreuodd Pete Jones ysgrifennu pytiau llenyddol , meddyliau a penillion byr ai gweddu yn themâu cyffredinol fel plentyndod a theulu, bu hefyd yn archwilio ei deimladau ai brofiadau bywyd, yn enwedig ei waith blaenorol, sef nyrsio anabledd dysgu mewn sefydliad hirdymor. Bydd Pete Jones hefyd yn archwilio'r effaith bosibl ar sut y gallai ei hunaniaeth "Gymreig" fod wedi dylanwadu ar fy ngwaith. Mae'r llyfr yn cynnwys ystod o waith o 1978 hyd at y presennol. Bydd y sgwrs yma yn gyfle i’r arlunydd drafod gwaith sydd eisoes mewn casgliadau preifat a chenedlaethol. Bydd sgwrs cynefin yn amser craffu ar yrfa hynod diddorol Pete Jones a rhoi cyd-destun mwy cyflawn i'm gwaith.______________________________________________________________________________________________________“Cynefin” book launch with Pete JonesAs part of the City of Bangor's 1500 celebration its a pleasure to invite the artist Pete Jones to Storiel to discuss his career and new book To Coincide with “Cynefin” a self-published book compiled by artist Pete Jones that will correspond with his second solo exhibition at Oriel Môn, which is due to open on 21st June 2025.Whilst working in the studio this year , Pete Jones reflects on the places and experiences that have been important to and have influenced the work he has produced over the years. Having begun writing down recollections, thoughts and short “verses” (which developed organically during the creative process) all of which weaves into his pictorial narrative.Pondering universal themes such as childhood and family Pete Jones also explores his own feelings in response to his own life-experience, in particular his previous work life, that of a learning disability nurse within a long-stay institution. He also explores the potential impact on how being “Welsh” may have impacted on my work. The book features a range of work from 1978 through to the present. And this talk will delve into works that have since become part of private and national collections. This talk will be a comprehensive opportunity discuss the artist’s work.
