Take a break from your desk* or studies, to experience ‘hands on’ reforesting of an area of land within our community, and show you care about trees! You will also be giving yourself a chance to connect with nature, which is proven to help mental health, lower heart rate and reduce stress levels.
Transport, training, tools, trees and refreshments will be included. All that is required is to wear warm, outdoor clothing and sensible, robust shoes.
Attendees will return feeling refreshed and with a sense of achievement that their time has made a positive impact in increasing the amount of woodland in the Kirklees district for future generations.
This tree-planting is one way in which the University of Huddersfield is supporting Kirklees Council in achieving it's climate change targets for the district.
