We have done it! Come and celebrate with us as we receive the Fairtrade Diocese Award in Fairtrade Fortnight 2021.

The Diocese of Westminster first began to work towards the Fairtrade Diocese Award in 2008, with the active support of the Bishops, Justice and Peace Commission and CAFOD. Today, more than 50% of the Parishes in the Diocese have completed the Parish Fairtrade Award, qualifying us as the first Fairtrade Diocese under this benchmark. We will be marking the occasion throughout Fairtrade Fortnight 22nd February - 7th March, inviting you to join events with the Fairtrade Foundation and others and to host your own wherever possible, as Fairtrade Parishes do every year. Fairtrade Fortnight will culminate in our very own Online Celebration &amp; Social on Friday 5th March at 11am. We will be showing a video by Cardinal Vincent Nichols to mark the occasion and congratulating all those involved, as well as encouraging those Parishes not yet signed up to complete the Award. Please bring along a Fairtrade product to show in a screenshot photograph to be shared in the media afterwards and your own Fairtrade tea, coffee, cake, biscuits, chocolate or fruit to enjoy during the social time.Every single person in the Diocese is welcome. We especially want to invite everyone who has been a Fairtrade stallholder or priests, administrators, catechists, parishioners and others involved in gaining the award for your Parishes.
