Exploring Deep Time: A Work That Reconnects Workshop

Gwyneth is a certified EQ Assessor, Coach and has a MSc in Applied Positive Psychology. Her focus is on reconencting people to themselves, each other, and to nature.Gwyneth uses a combination of coaching, mindfulness, nature connection, and facilitation to help people understand themselves and each other on a deeper level, leading to happier, more fulfilled and authentic lives. More specifically, she helps people who want to change the world to gain the strength, clarity and courage to bring their ideas into reality.In these times, where we seemingly lie on the precipice of extinction, war, climate disaster, something more than 'conventional' coaching is needed. That's why Gwyneth's work focuses more on reconnecting people with the earth and nature's cycles, in preparation for what some call The Great Turning - the unravelling of the current system as we know it. As part of this, she organises events in nature, is involved with The Work That Reconnects and Deep Adaptation, and may even invite you to her garden to reenergise.

Join us for a deep-dive into Deep Time work as we step outside of regular time and space to connect with ancestors and future beings.The workshop takes place over two sessions:February 23rd at 18:30-20:30 CET AND February 25th at 18:30-20:30 CET(Check <a href="http://www.worldtimebuddy.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.worldtimebuddy.com</a> to compare your timezone with Berlin time)Deep Time work was developed by Joanna Macy and her colleagues as an essential part of "Seeing with New/Ancient Eyes", that part in the Journey of the Work That Reconnects where we seek to take on a different perspective on life, the world and our place and role in it. (Einstein named it: We can't solve the multifaceted crisis we're in with the same mindset that created it!) It is a wonderful source of inspiration and insight when it comes to exploring this shift in consciousness that many of us feel is desperately needed, both on individual and collective levels.Deep Time work helps us to develop a felt sense of belonging, not only to the community of all beings with whom we share these present times, but with the beings from both previous and future generations. We experience our own, personal lives as held within a larger context of space AND time, widening our perspective to include the wisdom of our ancestors and our children's children. As a result, we open ourselves to a deepened appreciation of the evolutionary journey we have been through as a species. New dimensions of meaning and purpose emerge, a heightened motivation to act on behalf of all life as well as a relief in distancing from the madness of speed and pressure engrained in modern society and tuning in to the natural rhythms of change found in seasons, tides and moon cycles.This workshop is for anybody who is interested in Joanna Macy's Work That Reconnects and wants to further explore the idea of 'deep time', or anybody who is interested in stepping outside their usual ways of being, knowing and thinking.The workshop is offered on a sliding scale from 40-80 Euros and will take place between 18:30-20:30 CET (Central European Time) on Tuesday 23rd and Thursday 25th February 2021.The facilitators:Maria Blilken, Germany - "I have a deep passion for nature connection, community building and practices that can bring about inner and outer transformation. I have been living and co-facilitating communal life, activities and workshops in the eco-village Gaia Ashram (Thailand) since January 2017. In my facilitation of Deep Ecology work, I love to weave together guided meditations, singing, deep connection and listening activities as well as games, discussions and experiential learning. I am currently exploring the potentials of Dragon Dreaming, Ecovillage Design Education and Compassionate Communication to enrich my Deep Ecology work. The Work That Reconnects offers a respectful, holistic and systemic perspective on the emotions we face as human beings during these critical times. This perspective is powerful, because its spiritual and intellectual depth rooted in Buddhist philosophy, systems theory and native American wisdom provides a nourishing and safe ground that allows us to get in touch with ALL of our emotional responses - even the most challenging ones. And this process of getting in touch can be deeply healing and transformative, as it leads us into the realization of our intimate connectedness with all that lives. When this realization happens - not only as a mind-concept, but as a reality felt with our mind, heart, body and spirit - it often feels like a home-coming to our true nature. It also lets us face the emotions we're feeling about climate collapse head-on rather than trying to push them away, and after we do that, we are able to emerge out the other side feeling renewed, stronger, happier to be alive, and ready to facilitate what they call The Great Turning - the move from an infinite growth society into a life-sustaining, sustainable world".
