Overview

For experienced Practice Educators who are new to Practice Assessing or those who are familiar with this but have not practiced for a while

Please make sure to inform your Workforce Lead and line manager before signing up for this session.


As part of our ongoing commitment to the development and support of Practice Education in the region, we are facilitating a half day’s training on the Practice Assessor role. The event is suitable for those who are new to Practice Assessing or those who are familiar with this but have not practiced for a while. Those wishing to attend should be experienced Practice Educators.

Learning Aims: To assist experienced Practice Educators to make the transition to the Practice Assessor role and to refresh the knowledge and skills of dormant Practice Assessors.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the event those participating will have

  • Reviewed their knowledge, skills and experience as Practice Educators
  • Reflected on how their knowledge, skills and experience will support the learning and development of trainee Practice Educators
  • Become familiar with the processes, tools and approaches needed to enable the learning and development of trainee Practice educator


We are really looking forward to seeing you at this workshop. By registering for this CPD/event you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

  • Non-attendance at a CPD/event that you have either registered for or a manager has registered you for, may result in a charge to your employer at the following rates: £50 up to a half-day session, £100 for up to a full day. Unless there is a valid reason that can be confirmed and approved by your manager and apologies are sent.
  • If you know you can’t make the event, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite - this automatically offers someone on the waiting list the opportunity to attend. If unable to do so via Eventbrite, please email admin@developingtogetherswtp.org.uk
  • It is your responsibility to save the date until a Zoom link is sent to you to access the session.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure prior to the event you can access the Zoom link and that your organisation does not block access. This may mean you need to liaise with your own IT department to ensure that you can access the training or use a personal device such as mobile phone or personal computer.
  • Join on time. We won’t register anyone who is more than 15 mins late. If you do join after registration, you will not be able to receive the session materials or CPD certificate.
  • In order for the session to be interactive and to support the trainer to facilitate effectively, as far as possible:
  1. please turn your cameras on.
  2. please click on the participants icon, and check that your name is displayed correctly. We also need your name to register you and send you a CPD Certificate!
  3. please do participate, either by using the chat, or by asking a question. When you are not speaking though, please can you mute yourself to reduce feedback and background noise.
  • We have created a short Zoom guide about how to use functions on this platform. If you have not used Zoom before, or are not confident in using it, please do have a look at this.
