Webinar Details
Following a traumatic injury, many people will leave hospital and enter the rehabilitation stage in a state of malnutrition. This means that their body has been deprived of the required nutrition – vitamins, minerals, energy and protein – which can reduce their rehabilitation potential and health, and particularly in relation to mental health.
However, nutrition after a traumatic injury is complex. It involves the whole multidisciplinary team to ensure a client’s nutritional needs are met, optimally fuelling their health and rehabilitation.
In this Physio Matters Spotlight Webinar, Sian Riley, Director and Registered Dietitian at Red Pepper Nutrition, will explore the area of rehabilitation nutrition following a traumatic injury such as an ABI, spinal or orthopaedic injury.
Sian will delve into the exciting science of nutritional psychiatry and its relevance in rehabilitation after a traumatic injury.
This will be an interactive session with practical examples and discussion.
