This seminar, organised by the research group working on Texts and their Afterlives within the Programme C – Expériences de la modernité dans l’espace transatlantique, XVII-XVIIIèmes siècles (LERMA, UR 853, Aix-Marseille Université), is primarily aimed at candidates preparing the Agrégation and working on Cook&#x27;s Journals.We are delighted to welcome Sandhya Patel (IHRIM-Université-Clermont-Auvergne), who will present a paper entitled The Lives and Afterlives of Cook&#x27;s Logs and Journals and Jean-Stéphane Massiani, whose paper is entitled From the Ship to the Pen: James Cook as a Writer in the Making.Chair: Ruth Menzies (LERMA, Aix-Marseille Université).
