Workforce, employment & skills as a lever for change in anchor institutions

The Health Anchors Learning Network (HALN) is a UK-wide network for people who are interested in, or responsible for, anchor approaches to share ideas, knowledge and skills. Through individual and collective learning, participants will become better equipped to implement anchor strategies in practice. This will help maximise the health and care system’s social, economic and environmental impact, improve the social determinants of health and help reduce inequalities. The network is delivered by Innovation Unit and supported by the Health Foundation and NHS England and NHS Improvement.

Learning from expert speakers and case studies about  how anchors can use workforce, employment and  skills as a lever for change.

This event will involve two different parts. When selecting your ticket please indicate where you want to join Part 1 only or Part 1&amp;2.Part 1: Presentations and Q&A 2:00-2:45The first part will be an opportunity to hear from expert speakers who have experience of using workforce, employment and skills as a lever for change. There will be a mix of presentations and discussions between the speakers, and opportunities for participants to ask questions. This will be a Zoom meeting where you can choose to have your camera on. We are delighted to be joined by:<ul><li>Preeti Sud - Head of Strategy Unit for Mid and South Essex Hospitals Group</li><li>Ruth Keeler - Strategic Lead for the Integrated Care System (ICS) Careers and Engagement in Lancashire and South Cumbria</li><li>Jacquie White - Director - Workforce Strategy at NHS England</li></ul>Part 2: Workshop 2:45-3:30Part 2 will be open to a smaller group of people who are currently working on anchor approaches related to workforce, employment and skills. It will be highly interactive and will involve opportunities to reflect on your own practice and share learning and ideas with other network participants in small groups. This part will require you to have your camera and mic on if possible. Who is it for?The event will be of most interest to those who work in HR, workforce, learning and development teams, or are working with external partners on pathways to work. You might also find this session interesting if you are working on long term workforce transformation, policy and strategy work, or in public health. Part 2 is specifically for people who are currently working on anchor approaches related to workforce, employment and skills who are happy to share learning with others. After registering you will receive an email containing a unique link for you to join the event.
