The Smile for a mile 1000 Challenge encourages people to walk to bring a smile to their face and to join our walk miles together to reach a collective 1000 mile target and to raise mental wellbeing and help fundraise for Tyneside and Northumberland Mind.The campaign is linked to the fabulous Smile for a Mile Facebook group set up because there are so many people struggling mentally at the moment or who know that they need to move more to help their physical and mental wellbeing. The aim of the Smile for a mile facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/787718641819216 campaign is for everyone to simply go out and walk and to try to smile while you are doing it. Then post pictures from their walks or pictures of whatever made them smile today on the smile for a mile facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/787718641819216 to share these smile makers and positively comment to encourage others to join in and do the same to all help our collective and individual wellbeing.We can all try to find things while you are out that make you feel happy or make you smile, it will get your blood pumping in a gentle way and also get you out of the house for a while. Take photos while you are out and lets show each other what has made us smile on our mile. To join the Smile for a Mile 1000 campaign register here then add your daily miles total to your facebook posts and we will add them to the Smile for a Mile-o-meter to try to collectively reach 1000 miles or more. You can also set up your own justgiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/smileforamile and ask friends, family and supporters to donate to support your challenge and help you raise funds for local mental health services at Tyneside and Northumberland Mind so we can also help provide necessary mental health support for those who are struggling with mental illness in our communities or you can make a donation directly to our campaign..You don't have to limit your activities to a mile, you can chose to take more of a challenge and use your challenge to help us raise funds for local mental health services at Tyneside and Northumberland Mind, the local mental health charity.Lets see how far we can walk, as a group, even if we are walking alone, we will be together and adding our miles up to reach a fantastic joint target.
