2-part workshop for parents hosted by Rachel Wright, Founder of Born at the Right Time and author of 'The Skies I'm Under'.

An interactive, engaging and supportive workshop is for parents and carers of children with additional needs. Supporting a child with disabilities can feel like a whole other world. It is a unique kind of parenting rollercoaster which take us to higher highs and lower lows.This 2-part work shop is based on lived experience and uses evidence and research to navigate the complexities of parenting a child with additional needs. It covers topics including:<ul><ul><li>holding complex emotions</li><li>living in our own story</li><li>dealing with difficult anniversaries</li><li>changing relationships</li><li>navigating the web of professional input</li><li>communicating with practitioners</li><li>being an empowered parent</li></ul></ul>The workshop will occur at the same time in two consecutive weeks. The cost for 2 sessions is £20. However, if you are unable to meet the cost of this event, please contact admin@bornattherighttime.com. Not being able to afford to pay is no reason not to join us. Author (The Skies I’m Under), award winning blogger, speaker, trainer and founder of Born at the Right Time. She’s passionate about effective communication, co-production, community and embracing life’s challenges. An expert through lived experience, Rachel works towards bridging the gap between families of children with complex conditions and the practitioners who support them. To balance out her infatuation for salt ‘n vinegar crisps and hummus, Rachel regularly puts on trainers and goes for a run. Her middle son is writing a book titled, ‘My mum’s epic fails’. It is likely to have more than one volume.
