Particularly in a GP surgery, the environment is often a fast-paced, high pressure environment, which can quickly lead to stress-related issues for members of staff. The intense pressure caused by the pandemic has created even more strain than usual on those working within the industry.A Mental Health First Aider is trained to spot the initial signs of mental health related issues, before providing initial help and support to staff. For every £1 invested in mental health training, studies have shown a return on investment of £9.98, through increased productivity and fewer work related absences.About This CourseIn order to support wellbeing in the workplace, Loch Associates Group are offering virtual mental health first aid training from the 17th - 25th May, accredited by MHFA England.This course will train your employees to become a Mental Health First Aider, and give them an in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing. They’ll learn how to recognise the warning signs, develop the skills and confidence to reassure a person in distress and give them the knowledge to signpost to further support.By training Mental Health First Aiders within your organisation, you are taking proactive steps to support the mental wellbeing of your employees and minimising the risk of work related absence.Learning Outcomes<ul><li>How to identify the early warning signs of mental ill-health</li><li>Develop confidence to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis</li><li>Learn how to provide support and reassurance through enhanced interpersonal skills and non-judgemental listening</li><li>An awareness of the options available to signpost someone to the right support</li><li>Reduce the stigma of mental health related issues at work</li></ul>Important Info<ul><li>Our virtual Mental Health First Aid training course is held across four dates - 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th May 2021, with each date being a two-hour session from 10am to 12pm.
