The Ubele Initiativewas founded in 2014, following dialogue with African diaspora leaders. Community-rooted and collaborative in character, Ubele focused on effective solutions to persistent social and economic issues.Ubele is taken from Swahili meaning “The Future”.As an African diaspora led, infrastructure plus organisation, we believe in empowering Black and Minoritised communities in the UK to act as catalysts for social and economic change. To achieve this, we work with community leaders, groups, and organisations in the UK and beyond to strengthen their sustainability, resilience, and voice.We support the growth of individuals and community-based groups and organisations through intergenerational leadership initiatives, capacity support, enterprise, and asset development.

This is our final webinar in the series, and we have been listening to the questions and would like to give organisations the opportunity to delve deeper into an area of challenge.We have therefore come up with a ‘Surgery’ approach, with each consultant hosting different surgeries in those areas of expertise. **IMPORTANT**- Please change your Zoom Name to the name of the organisation you represent when you sign-in.- Indicate in the chat box, the name of the organisation you represent and the two rooms you wish to participate in. Please focus on a question relevant to the appropriate areas, as you may be disappointed if they are unable to answer.Please come prepared knowing which breakout room session you would like to attend beforehand as this will ensure we get you into the right space quickly and give you more time. Here is some food for thought to help decide which room is best for you!1. What do we need to do if we want to incorporate and what are the differences between the different organisational types?2. Where can we go to get some funding and how can we produce impactful applications?3. What goes into a strategic plan and how long does it take to produce?4. What are the best online platforms to use and how can we better market what we do?5. How can we get more people engaged in our services and what can we do to capture the voices of stakeholders?
