OutlineAn event to discuss the role of judges on the implementation of the law, particularly in Judicial Review cases, and whether judges ever see themselves as ‘activists’ on the bench.BackgroundIn July, the Government ​launched​ an independent review into whether there is a need to reform the judicial review process. Chaired by Lord Edward Faulks QC, the review is part of the Government’s plan to ensure the correct “balance” is struck between citizen’s rights and effective governance.
