Studentsociety aiming to support the female engineering's of Loughborough university as well as anyone that wants to help inspire the next generation of engineers and tackle the gender divide.Throughout the year there are Careers, social and volunteering opportunities for all members to enjoy.

A collaborative event between LUWES and IMechE. An awards evening followed by an IMechE lecture, commemorating our female Engineers.

The committee at LUWES and members at IMechE would like to warmly welcome you to the Female Engineer of the Year (FEY) Awards Ceremony and IMechE lecture series taking place on Thursday 29th of April 2021. The aim of this event is to celebrate the spectacular talents and achievements of our female Engineers at Loughborough University! The event agenda includes:<ul><li>7:00 - 7:30 pm: FEY Awards 2021 Ceremony</li><li>7:30 - 8:30pm : IMechE Lecture Series Talk by Postgraduate Winner</li></ul>The topic of the talk will be on:Using Holographic Laser Beam Shaping to Improve Metallurgy in Additive ManufacturingThe dress code for this event is smart casual.
