The Cybersecurity Weekend Bootcamp is a 2-day online event which provides a taster to the 12-week online training in Cybersecurity.

The event is organised by Digital Opportunity Skills Training in collaboration with <a href="https://cyberbenab.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cyber Benab</a>,<a href="https://www.1gcyber.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">1GCYBER</a> and Champions 4 Change.The bootcamp will be run by Dustin Fraser, the founder of <a href="https://1gcyber.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">1GCYBER </a>and Adjunct Professor in Cyber Security. Dustin recent experience include running cybersecurity and engineering courses at the Flatiron School in the USA.Day-1 Saturday 8th May 2021Start time: 11:00 (GMT+1)End time: 18:00 (GMT+1)The objective of Day-1 is to introduce cybersecurity and its role protecting individuals and organisations from external threats and identifying and removing internal vulnerabilities. In addition, attendees will be introduced to Systems and Network Administration using real-life Command Line and Network Labs, respectively. The day will conclude with an introduction to Splunk fundamentals.Day-2 Sunday 9th May 2021Start time: 11:00 (GMT+1)End time: 18:00 (GMT+1) During Day-2, attendees will introduced to cybersecurity framework, kill-chain, foot-printing, fingerprinting and enumeration. Threat analysis and modelling, system thinking, identity and access management with Active Directory will be introduced along with network administration using network labs.Day 2 will wrap-up with suggested material (AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials ) and pathways to further training in cybersecurity including the 12-week intensive course offered by 1GCYBER.
