Family friendly multi-cultural bike ride to celebrate Diwali with games, music, lights and food. Suitable for children over 4 years old!

This is an event open to people of all and no faiths who love music and want a safe space to cycle with their kids!Come and celebrate Diwali - the Hindu festival of lights - with us on bike. Cycle around a fun filled circuit, fill up on tasty food and attempt a traditional Indian dance - dandiya - on your bike!There will be prizes for best decorated bikes - so glam it up with ribbons, tassels, glitter and lights before.This is suitable for competent riders (scooters and adapted bikes included) over 4 years, and their parents/guardians, who are encouraged to bring their bikes and join in the fun too. Bikes must be road worthy, but please arrive between 3.45-4pm so that we may perform supplementary bike safety checks before hitting the tarmac. Bikes will be available for hire, if prior notice is given (please email harrowwheelers@hotmail.com). If in need of an adapted cycle, please use this <a href="https://spond.com/invite/ZKZEO" title="https://spond.com/invite/ZKZEO" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">booking link</a>, so we can pair you up with a suitable bike directly.Free parking is available on site.This event has been arranged by Harrow Cylists, a grassroots campaigning group for better cycling infrastructure in Harrow. But we couldn't do this without help from Harrow Cycle Hub, a charity aimed at encouraging cycling within Harrow, through courses, organised group rides and second hand bike sales.
