AMP works with strategic partners to deliver high quality music-making activities for children and young people across rural North Yorkshire.   Working across a wide range of music genres and styles our projects enable young people to access learning and performance opportunities with highly skilled artists and develop new musical, personal and social skills.

Working with Ensembles and Orchestras Online

Irish Association of Youth Orchestras -Allin Gray, Director of the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras will present a case study sharing the development of online technology to keep youth orchestras and ensembles engaged and active during Covid-19. The presentation will explore innovations developed for Zoom and current experimentation with real-time-audio software. Caitlin Kelly will talk about the process of deploying Jamulus for real-time rehearsals in a project with Katherine Hunka and the Irish Chamber Orchestra.Orchestras LiveOrchestras Live will discuss Share Sound, their major digital project, which enables professional orchestras to work with Music Hubs and explore the digital creative space for ensemble music making.  Hear how they are working closely with several partner Hubs to shape bespoke delivery plans that will meet their specific needs.
