Newham Heritage Month

Join us for an in person creative writing  session with live readings  inspired by our local iconic markets - Queens and Stratford.

Stratford Park

During the afternoon we invite you to  practice creative writing skills and write poems inspired by pictures and stories from both, Queens and Stratford Markets.Look out for our special guest, Mr Rashan, a market trader at Queens Market who will share his stories with us.There will be live readings of poems created and written by local residents inspired by shopping in their local markets.This event will have BSL/English interpreters availableYour safety is important to usThe performance is planned with Covid-19 safety measures in place, and masks must be worn (indoors) and social distancing will be observed and one-way systems will be in place at the venue. You must not attend if you show symptoms of Covid-19 and must self-isolate in line with current government guidance at the time of the event.
