Join us for an in-person workshop focused on caring for and sharing community archives

Join us for an in-person event, Community Stories - Community Archives, designed for community groups who have or are looking to create an archive collection. This half-day event will provide an opportunity to discuss best practice for describing, caring for and making available archive collections.We'll explore the essential tools, resources and strategies to help you manage your collections. You'll gain insights from professional archivists as well as have the opportunity to discuss your experiences with attendees from other community groups. You will learn more about inclusive engagement and considering your audiences.Who should attend?Community group membersVolunteers and staff working with community archive collectionsAnyone interested in learning to manage archive collectionsYou will gain:✔ Practical skills for preserving and managing archive collections✔ Confidence in applying best practice✔ Insights into inclusive practice and diversifying your audiences✔ Networking opportunities with peers and experts in the fieldEvent DetailsRefreshments and lunch will be provided.
