Newham Heritage Month 2025

Newham Heritage Month is an annual heritage festival organised by Newham Council with kind support from National Lottery Heritage Fund. In 2025, the festival will take place in September 2025 with a programme of events on the theme of 'Newham at 60'.

Snip Snap Newham! Come and join this drop-in collage workshop with Newham Heritage Service.We’re inviting Newham residents of all ages and abilities to come and help us create a huge community artwork that showcases Newham’s vibrant past, present and future.Did you know that we have over 30,000 photographs in our borough’s archive? That’s alongside newspapers, leaflets, posters, physical objects and more! Join us to use reproductions of these in this collage workshop.Got a stash of magazines you’ve never gotten around to throwing away? Want to bring along a photograph you’d love to have included? You’re also welcome to bring your own materials!No previous experience (or artistic skill!) is needed for this workshop! All ages welcome. You can stay for as long or as short as you want – turn up, get inspired and make your mark on this artwork!All materials provided. Free refreshments and lunch will also be available.
