One of three concerts performed at St Mary's Parish church in Barnard Castle as part of the Windows to the World festival

Immerse yourself in polyphonic motets from Renaissance Europe performed by <a href="https://www.scaramella.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Scaramella</a> - a capella lower voice quartet.Much like their namesake&#x27;s character from the Commedia dell&#x27;arte, Scaramella can turn their hand to almost anything. Their home may be in Renaissance Europe, but they are as likely to be found in a recusant chapel as a Georgian drinking den, or a Parisian cafe.Pooling expertise from backgrounds in Cathedral music, opera, close harmony and early music, they work collaboratively to create informed and distinctive performances. Their members have sung with many of the finest professional choirs and consort groups in the UK and Europe, as well as being successful soloists in their own right.Ticket options:Virtual ticket: Experience the concert from the comfort of your own home. You will be provided with a zoom link before the event and can join the livestream of Scaramella&#x27;s performance from wherever you are in the world. If you can&#x27;t make it to the livestream, don&#x27;t worry! The concert will be recorded on the day and available for you to watch for the next seven days after the live event ends.In person ticket for attendance at St Mary&#x27;s: If you&#x27;d rather see the performance in person and visit us at the beautiful St Mary&#x27;s Parish church in Barnard Castle, then this is for you. Unfortunately, with the uncertainty of Covid-19, we are only able to release a small number of tickets. If government guidance changes and restrictions are put back in place preventing us from having an audience in the church, your ticket will be refunded (this applies only to in-person tickets – virtual tickets are non-refundable)Keeping you safe: In response to Covid-19, we are following public health guidance and may have additional measures in place, which are carefully designed to keep you, our staff, and the artists safe and healthy. This means that you will have to wear a mask during the concert and while you are inside the church, unless you are medically exempt.About Windows To The World:This concert is part of a festival for the NLHF funded &#x27;Windows to the World&#x27; project. From the 12th to the 23rd of July, Windows to the World Festival is celebrating the colourful history of the oldest church in Barnard Castle – through art, music, and history.The church will be home to Journeys – Teithiau, a stunning exhibition of stained glass artwork by Jonathan Cooke, Catrin Davies, Nicola Kantorowicz, Elizabeth Lamont, Rachel Phillips, and Christian Ryan currently exhibited at the Stained Glass Museum at Ely.We will offer workshops, tours, performances and heaps of other exciting activities. The Windows to the World festival will be sure to offer something for curious minds of all ages.St Mary&#x27;s Parish has an eventful history, going back over 900 years.
