Liverpool Biennial presents the UK biennial of contemporary art. It takes place every two years across the city in public spaces, unused buildings, galleries and online. The Biennial is underpinned by a programme of research, education, residencies and commissions. Founded in 1998, Liverpool Biennial has commissioned over 340 new artworks and presented work by over 480 artists from around the world.

The full festival of nine exhibitions for Liverpool Biennial 2021: The Stomach and the Port opened on 19 May. Entry is free for all exhibitions, but you can support us by giving a donation. Now more than ever, Liverpool Biennial needs your help to continue our work with artists and communities.OPENING HOURSThis venue is open from 19 May until 27 June. Opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday 11am – 6pm.Liverpool Biennial will be implementing Relaxed Gallery Hours across select venues. These dedicated opening times have been created specifically for visitors who may benefit from reduced foot traffic, lighting and sound levels. We recommend that all visitors book a slot in advance as capacity is limited. This is to ensure everyone has plenty of space for social distancing.If you’d like to visit multiple Liverpool Biennial exhibitions at different venues, please book separate tickets for each. One ticket per visitor, per venue is required.There is a maximum group size of 6 people per booking. Please select your preferred 30-minute window and arrive for your visit at the start time stated to guarantee entry. The building closes at 6pm, final entry will be at 5:30pm.Walk-ups are available subject to availability. Ticket holders will be given priority entry.If you arrive at the venue and you have not pre-booked, one of our festival Guides will book you in at the desk at the first available time.ACCESSIBILITYAccess is at the side entrance of the building via Ormond Street. You will be required to show your ticket(s) on arrival – either on your device or a printed version.
