Leading with Disruption

We recognise that leaders across the Civil Service are working hard to keep their teams safe, cohesive and productive, during this period of unprecedented disruption. Where and how you focus your time and energy, will shape who you are as a leader, and your leadership impact.

This 2-hour virtual workshop will provide a social leadership learning experience that will enable you with leadership practices to respond effectively. You will explore the behaviours and mindsets that will help you navigate the coronavirus pandemic, accelerate departmental outcomes and lead effectively against a backdrop of disruption.

With your colleagues, you will discuss the current context of disruptive forces and the impact on business as usual and explore your approaches to work and the impact you are making. You will gain an understanding of the approaches necessary to successfully lead through disruption, and stay ahead in a rapidly changing world. Working with peers, you will develop action plans for recognising and meeting the psychological needs of those you work with, to ensure connectivity and enhance virtual dialogues, driving motivation and engagement.

By the end of the session you will have:

Connected with colleagues to share your current experience
Explored and planned your leadership focus
Reassessed and evaluated your approach to work and your leadership impact
Learnt a framework to help you lead more effectively with disruption
