What is it about?<ul><li>Innovation Fund (IF) CYP across East Berkshire covering Bracknell Forest, Slough, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead aims to give local community projects the opportunity to bring to life projects that geared towards improving the health and wellbeing of our families (Parents , Children and Young people) with the aim to improve people’s life chances. </li><li>It includes small grant funding for projects (up to £5K) and additional support including training and networking (£70K across East Berkshire)</li><li>It utilises a community based assets approach – prioritising work with children, parents and families that starts by reorganising and building on their strengths. It is an approach that is about working ‘with’ communities and alongside them, instead of making decisions ‘for’ them or doing things ‘to’ them</li><li>Empowering and supporting parents, children and young people to promote and strengthen the factors that support good health and wellbeing, protect against poor health and foster communities and networks that sustain health. </li><li>Young people will support the process including supporting decisions about funding allocation as equal partners </li></ul>How it will work? <ul><li>Interested projects submit application form </li><li>Projects vetted by a multiparty panel including young people, and funds allocated to successful applicants. </li><li>Successful projects are invited to a local network events to connect them to key people with the project </li><li>Ongoing support for successful projects – training on theory of change to support evaluation, restorative practice, and access to training via CYP MH workforce training offer </li></ul>What are we looking for?<ul><li>We are looking for innovative ideas for projects that will improve the health and wellbeing of families, parents, children and young people. Individuals, organisations, community, and voluntary groups are all welcome to apply on their behalf.</li><li>We recognise that local people know their own communities the best.
