URGENT: The SewellReport is STILL live, marching towards policy & legislation as we breathe. We still need to act -NOW- to stop its progress

One year on from mass marches protesting George Floyd's death and widespread demands for Britain to face its colonial past and address structural racism in British society, we've ended up with the severely criticised and discredited Sewell Report. In the same way that the Report dismissed the express concerns brought by the public, the government also has dismissed the wide-ranging, comprehensive & sustained criticisms brought against the Report. They have decided to forge ahead with it, committed to turning its recommendations into government policy.Government policy and decision-making is required to be based on good scientific advice and evidence. The Sewell Report fails these tests. Moreover, the British public did not march for the predetermined recommendations of this Report. It should not be allowed to stand and impact our lives. Join us as we reflect one year on from protests to find out why our outcry and early actions haven't worked, why you must act now and the simple but impactful action that you can take to block and stop the Sewell Report. We are campaigners, activists, academics, educators - ordinary people - using formal parliamentary structures to force the government to respond to the demands brought by the public. We are fighting for a formal, public, independent, parliamentary investigation into the Sewell Report and for it to be formally revoked. That way it does not turn the clock back on race - or influence policy and legislation going forward. We need you to take action with us.
