Sound & Movement Sanctuary (SMS) is an initiative created by Devaki Thomas, in 2020, located between SE London, UK and now the Yukon, Canada.  SMS collates her years of experience in Movement Psychotherapy, Therapeutic Hatha Yoga, Festival Directing, Music to Heal & Dance to Connect. Started in response to the pandemic and subsequent lack of connection. Events & sessions in movement and sound have  received many positive reviews bringing participants connection, release, relaxation, healing and grounding.

A 2-hour immersive movement experience...in-person in a beautiful country park in South London UK...on Zoom for those far away! Come together to move spontaneously to curated music...finding inspiration from each other...expressing emotions and thoughts through embodied movement, following your flow...finding your freedom....listening to your body....connecting to yourself and others, attuning &amp; mirroring....starting and ending with somatic awareness/meditation. Let the music the moment the connections move you...groove to the energy of the planet. Facilitated by myself, Devaki Thomas, I hold a MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapist from Goldsmiths, University of London and have been a dancer and multidisciplinary artist my whole life.
