The Scottish Women's Convention are holding a free conference focusing on women’s lived experience of navigating social care in Scotland.

Please note: This is a women-only event.Join the SWC for an event focused on women’s lived experience of navigating social care in Scotland. Through personal stories, discussion, and shared insight, we will shine a light on the challenges, gaps, and hopes within Scotland’s social care landscape.During the event, attendees will hear from a range of speakers who will provide their expertise on various aspects of social care. This will be followed by a Q&amp;A, where attendees will have the opportunity to ask any relevant questions. Following a free buffet lunch, attendees will also be asked to take part in roundtables, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.Speaker panel:Sara Cowan - Director of Scottish Women's Budget Group, who work to promote equality through gender budgeting to build a fairer and more equal Scotland.Heather Calvo - CEO of <a href="http://www.neighbourhoodnetworks.org/" title="http://www.neighbourhoodnetworks.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Neighbourhood Networks,</a> a Scottish Charity that specialises in developing peer support networks with vulnerable adults.Shubhanna Hussain - Partnership Development Officer at <a href="https://www.carersnet.org/" title="https://www.carersnet.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Coalition of Carers in Scotland</a> which was established by a group of carers and staff from carer support organisations who wanted to strengthen the voice of carers in Scotland.Don’t miss this chance to be part of the conversation which puts women’s voices at the heart of care reform.
