100 Barrington

Join this playful evening class to learn how to create stylish botanical paintings in watercolour. Through a series of simple techniques Katie will demonstrate ways to capture shapes, colours and texture to create your own stunning composition. Surrounded by plants and flowers to help inspire your paintings this class is a great chance for beginners and practising painters alike to paint in a social, engaging setting. Katie will be on hand to offer demonstrations, advice and guidance so you can feel confident you'll gain an understanding of the spontaneous, dynamic nature of watercolour. Great for groups of friends who havent seen each other in a while...! About the venue...100 Barrington is a beautiful events space in Brixton with open spaces and a brand new double height bar space under the train arches. One drink is included in the cost of your ticket and a bar will be available. Please note that we will be adhering to government guidelines and social distancing rules at the time of the event. No groups larger than 6 , and make sure you wear a mask for when you are walking around the space. The venue has a large bifold door, so weather permitting some tables may be partially outdoors. About the Teacher...Katie has been sharing her playful approach to watercolour painting with others for over 4 years. She has a masters degree from the Royal College of Art and her loose, spontaneous paintings and attitude to teaching has gained her many followers.
