Every person, every conversation: are they safe? (North East region)

This event is for staff, volunteers and trustees of local VCSE organisations in the North East of England

The first part of the event (9:30-11:20) will be of interest to anyone working or volunteering for a VCS organisation and will:<ul><li>challenge stereotypes of who could be at risk </li><li>provide information on accountability</li><li>help you recognise people at risk of abuse or neglect</li><li>advise on who to contact locally when you have concerns about someone’s safety</li></ul>The second part of this event (11:30- 12:00) will be of interest to local VCS infrastructure and support organisations in particular and will explore the possibilities of developing a VCS Safeguarding Network in each region. We will also be joined by North East&#x27;s new local DBS Regional Outreach Advisor, who will explain the new regional approach DBS is taking.
