Cup-O-T: Wellness and Therapy Services is a non-profit occupational therapy service.  We aim to provide mental health occupational therapy to young people and adults in rural parts of Norfolk in a place that is convenient to them and at an early stage.Occupational Therapy uses meaningful activity to enable people to achieve what they want to do and need to do in life.

WildVibes Youth Group Sessions

We are excited to share with you Cup-O-T’s new WildVibes Youth Group in our beautiful woodland.
Designed for 11 – 16-year-olds, there will be 10 spaces at most groups.
Each 2-hour session in nature will help young people experience a range of activities

<h3>WildVibes: Advanced Pottery Workshop (Ages 11-16)</h3> We’re ready for the next level! Let’s spin the medieval pottery wheel and see what clay masterpieces we can make at our next half-day WildVibes workshop!Join Clare, an experienced creative facilitator, and Asim, our supportive youth worker, for a hands-on Advanced Pottery session in the woodland. This session focuses on making pots on the potter’s wheel. Participants will have opportunities to gain skills centering the clay (essential for making even and symmetrical pottery on the wheel), and skills in shaping the clay to make different functional forms.We will be learning on the electric potter’s wheel and a replica medieval potter’s wheel, which is based on a design used by potters in Roman and Viking times and is still used by potters in India today! <h3>What to Expect:</h3>🏺 Pottery Wheel – Learn how to use the medieval pottery wheel to create your very own clay pot, and test your skills and dexterity along the way!👌 Pinch Pot – Shape a lob of clay by pinching it to the shape desired.🔥 Cosy Creativity – Enjoy the beautiful outdoors and a cup of squash / hot chocolate (with optional marshmallows!) as you create with clay.🥪 Lunch break – During the workshop, we will also take time to have a lunch break, so please remember to bring your lunch with you. This is an outdoor workshop, so dress appropriately and wear sturdy footwear. We have a covered area in case of rain, so the session will go ahead whatever the weather! 📍 Meeting Point: Cup-O-T’s woodland entrance📅 Date &amp; Time: Saturday, 27th September, 10am-2pm🎟️ Tickets: £3 These sessions are funded by Norfolk Community Foundation, Asda Foundation, Co-op Local Community Fund, and Aviva Access to Nature Fund.Come and explore the interesting world of creating with the medieval pottery wheel while immersing yourself in nature.
