Should you be concerned by kids watching online pornography, and how to talk about it?In this interactive session organized by Consciously Digital we will discuss, how parents can help their children navigate through the perils of digital world with a focus on privacy. During this session, you will :<ul><li>Understand the risks of social media from a reputational perspective and learn how to explain them to your child</li><li>Get clear about steps to take in the “worst case scenario” and to prevent it from happening</li><li>Learn, which legal options are potentially available that help solve the issues of online reputation</li><li>Understand why early exposure to watching online pornography may be harmful to children and young adults</li><li>Learn to recognize signs of pornography addiction</li><li>Learn how to talk with your child about pornography</li><li>Learn about resources and methods to increase your child’s online safety </li></ul>The event is free of charge if you attend on the day, because we want to encourage you to actively take part in it! He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. His focus is helping people experience life to the fullest by adopting mindful technology practices. Jerome also is passionate about helping youth develop into well adjusted adults. In his spare time Jerome enjoys the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America.Helena Shipman is a Senior Associate at Carter-Ruck, a litigation law firm based in London. She specialises in specialises in reputation, media and privacy disputes. Helena has significant experience of dealing with social media platforms from a legal perspective, in particular the removal of private and/or defamatory information in cases of cyberbullying, revenge porn and sometimes bad humour that has simply gone too far. She is particularly interested in educating young people about the risks associated with social media by giving them some insight into the “worst case scenario”, as well as highlighting to parents what can be done from a legal perspective in those situations.
