Join us for the 1st webinar of our UCL Changemakers &amp; UCL Centre for Higher Education Studies (CHES) event: A practical webinar series on the academic writing skills for international PGR students. The aim this project is to offer relevant trainings on academic writing and publishing to PGR students, to increase awareness of academic writing resources for doctoral student, as well as to collect student feedbacks on their experiences of using these resources.In this webinar, Dr Yun Yu and Dr Jihyun Lee will share some common challenges that they have encountered in academic writing, along with the corresponding solutions to overcome these issues from ECR perspectives. The registration will be closed 2 hours before the event. Joining instruction will be provided to registered attendees in the confirmation email (see the additional information displayed at the end of your confirmation email). The event will be recorded.Guest Speakers: Dr Yun Yu, Shanghai Normal UniversityDr Yun Yu got her PhD from School of Education, University of Glasgow in 2017 and now works in Shanghai Normal University. She has studied and published extensively around issues of international education mobility, international students, educational equality, social inclusion and intercultural engagement. Her researches have compared the related topics in the UK, mainland China, Hong Kong, etc. Yun is the Assistant Editor in Journal of International Students, and the peer reviewer for Compare, International Journal of Comparative Education and Development, Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development, etc. Dr. Jihyun Lee, UCL GeographyJihyun recently completed her PhD in Geography at University College London. Her doctoral research focused on how the meanings of international student mobility diverge according to the characteristics of individual students and different higher education institutions in the UK.
